SIE EXAM TESTS APPLICANT'S KNOWLEDGE OF FIXED INCOME SECURITIES
Be prepared for questions on fixed income securities if you plan to sit for the Securities Industry Essentials Exam. If you are new to the securities industry, the term "fixed income securities" might cause you to check a financial dictionary. By this term, the securities industry means bonds, all types of bonds. For example, the SIE Exam asks about Treasury bills, notes and bonds. You should know about corporate and municipal bonds also.
