SIE EXAM HAS MULTIPLE QUESTIONS ON RULES OF FINRA AND OTHER SRO'S

Taking the SIE exam? Don't neglect to study rules of FINRA and other SRO's! What is an SRO? It stands for self-regulatory organization, such as FINRA, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB), and the various stock exchanges. Section 4.1 of the SIE Content Outline is entitled "SRO Regulatory Requirements for Associated Persons." Take a look at this section in the SIE Content Outline. Notice the rules and regulations that are listed. What does this mean for you and passing the test? It means that you cannot neglect studying the rules in depth and in detail. TAKING THE SIE OR SECURITIES INDUSTRY ESSENTIALS EXAM? KNOW IMPORTANT CHANGES TO IRA'S IN THE SECURE ACT OF 2020

Are you planning on taking the Securities Industry Essentials Exam, or the SIE? Then make sure that you know the important changes made to IRA plans and 529 education accounts by the Secure Act of 2020. Here are some of the new changes. Secure Act of 2020 —This act allows a holder of an IRA to delay until age 72 (increased from 70 ½) the mandatory obligation to begin withdrawing funds, or taking the required minimum distribution (RMD). It also allows using monies in a 529 education savings plan to pay off $10,000 of the beneficiary's student debt, and another $10,000 for each sibling of the beneficiary for the purpose of   paying off the siblings' education indebtedness.
